Poll: Kasich's Lead Grows To 22 Points

Governor John Kasich’s lead over his Democratic challenger has surpassed 20 points in the latest independent poll. The survey by Quinnipiac University released Wednesday gives the Republican incumbent a 57-to-35 percent lead over Ed Fitzgerald. The poll finds that about half of the likely voters still don't know much about FitzGerald with a little over a month until the November election. Kasich’s lead has nearly doubled since news that Fitzgerald was once found in a car in a park with a woman other than his wife, and that Fitzgerald drove for years without a valid driver’s license.
