Governor John Kasichs lead over his Democratic challenger has surpassed 20 points in the latest independent poll. The survey by Quinnipiac University released Wednesday gives the Republican incumbent a 57-to-35 percent lead over Ed Fitzgerald. The poll finds that about half of the likely voters still don't know much about FitzGerald with a little over a month until the November election. Kasichs lead has nearly doubled since news that Fitzgerald was once found in a car in a park with a woman other than his wife, and that Fitzgerald drove for years without a valid drivers license.
