Columbus Symphony Orchestra Names New Music Director

The Columbus Symphony Orchestra has a new Music Director. Forty-nine year old Rossen Milanov is the current leader of the Princeton Symphony and former associate conductor of the Philadelphia Orchestra. He said he was immediately impressed with the quality of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra. "This is an orchestra that is not afraid of anything. This is an orchestra that has a commitment; has a skill; has the experience; has the inspiration; has the ability to pretty much take musical direction and make it possible," he said Milanov replaces Jean-Marie Zeitouni who left the orchestra last year. The orchestra's new season begins September 25.
