Arrest Made In Shooting Of 12-Year-Old Columbus Girl

Authorities in central Ohio have charged a man in the case of a 12-year-old girl critically injured when she was shot in the chest in her home last month. The girl underwent surgery after the shooting but was expected to survive. Columbus police arrested an 18-year-old suspect Saturday and charged him with felonious assault. Investigators say the shooting happened at a residence east of downtown. Shots were fired during an argument outside and the house where the girl lived was apparently not a target.
