Columbus Castings Adding 500 Jobs

Columbus Castings says it will add 500 positions at its South Side foundry. The jobs are expected to be added over three years as the company expects an increase in the demand for steel parts used in rail cars. The company says it will try to hire many of the new employees from the surrounding neighborhood. Columbus Castings is spending another $16 million on machinery and other upgrades.
