Man Wanted In Hocking Hills Killing Shoots Self During Standoff

Authorities in southern Ohio say a suspect accused of his shooting his ex-wife and killing a man she was with has shot himself and is hospitalized. Hocking County Sheriff Lanny North says officers found 33-year-old suspect Michael Napoli at a hotel in Jeffersonville on Monday morning. He says Napoli shot himself in a standoff with authorities and was taken to a Dayton hospital with life-threatening injuries. Investigators had been searching for Napoli in connection to a Saturday night shooting at a Hocking Hills cabin on state Route 678. He's accused of shooting 32-year-old Kimberly Napoli of Westerville and fatally shooting 31-year-old James Robert Boergers Jr. of Jacksonville, Florida. North said Michael Napoli is charged with aggravated murder, aggravated burglary and attempted aggravated murder.
