Men Charged With Leaving Overdose Victim On Roadside

Two local men are charged with abuse of a corpse after police say they dumped a woman’s body on a secluded road after she died from an apparent heroin overdose. The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office says Jordyn Hollingworth met the two men last Friday and began using heroin. Authorities say the men, 24-year-old Corey Roberts and 21-year-old Nicholas McCord, noticed Hollingsworth was having trouble breathing and was unresponsive, but opted to not call for help and dumped her body on James Road the following morning. Roberts and McCord were arrested on Monday.
