Storms Leave Trail Of Damage Across Ohio

Parts of Central Ohio are again cleaning up after severe storms rolled through. A tornado touched down in northeast Ohio overnight. The National Weather Service confirmed a tornado touched down Monday evening in Brunswick, about 30 miles southwest of Cleveland. Some homes were damaged and are uninhabitable, but police say nobody was hurt. Crews planned to finish assessing damage on Tuesday. Large trees were felled by high winds in north Columbus. Traffic was blocked during morning rush hour on a section of Weber Road. Flooding from severe storms also was reported in Summit and Medina counties near Cleveland. In central Ohio, downed trees and high water closed some roads early Tuesday, and scattered power outages were reported.
