Columbus fire officials are investigating a series of car fires on the northwest side early this morning. Columbus Fire Batallion Chief Tracy Smith says eight cars were involved, along with two houses that sustained damage.

"We just don't have any suspects at this time," Smith said early Thursday. The fires came in the area near Sawmill Road and State Route 161, which is technically in Dublin but under the Columbus Division of Fire's jurisdiction.
