Suspect In Custody After Ohio VA Hospital Shooting

Police say a Veterans Affairs hospital employee in Dayton was shot in the ankle while struggling with a retired worker over a gun. Authorities in Dayton say the 59-year-old suspect, Neil Moore, is in custody. The shooting happened in a basement break room at the VA clinic around mid-day Monday. Dayton's police chief says investigators don't know what led up to the shooting. He says it appears that the suspect and victim knew each other. Moore was taken into custody Monday afternoon when he showed up at a Dayton hospital a few miles away from the VA hospital. The VA medical center has beds for about 450 people and provides veterans with medical, mental health and nursing home care.
