COTA Begins Free Downtown Circulating Route

The Columbus transit agency is launching a free downtown bus service circulating every 10 minutes between three of the busiest center city districts. Curtis Stitt, president and CEO of the Central Ohio Transit Authority, says the bus meets a community goal of creating a thriving downtown that is attractive to visitors. The service beginning Monday will take passengers from downtown to the city's Brewery District south of downtown and back up to the Arena District, home to many offices and restaurants as well as Nationwide Arena. COTA is using six buses running on natural gas for the service.
