More Ohio Hog Farms Reporting Deadly Disease

Hog farms in Ohio are reporting cases of a relatively new disease that kills newborn pigs. The state's agriculture department has recorded a couple hundred confirmed cases of the virus across Ohio. The disease known as PED was first found in the U.S. a year ago, but has existed in Europe for decades. It causes baby pigs to become dehydrated and has a nearly 100 percent mortality rate.
