Columbus Schools Get Rare Clean State Audit

An annual state audit of Columbus City Schools shows the district does not have to repay any money to anyone. A clean audit has been a rare occurrence for the district in recent years and comes amid an investigation of attendance keeping practices that factor into district funding. The audit did find weaknesses in several areas, including verifying student eligibility for free or reduced lunches, and asked for better documentation of how the district spends federal grant money.
