Trooper Fired After Latest Drunk Driving Charge

The State Highway Patrol has fired a trooper accused of driving drunk and hitting two parked cars outside a Short North bar. Jeremy Garner, 35, was fired last week after other troopers testified they tried to keep him from driving away Skully's Music Diner after a night of drinking in February. Other troopers say Garner became "hostile" before leaving. Garner was previously convicted of drunken driving in 2007.
