Columbus And State Make More Investments In Winter

The state and city of Columbus are making more investments in fighting winter weather. The state Controlling Board has approved $2 million to buy 30,000 tons of road salt for the state Department of Transportation. ODOT has already used more than a million tons of salt this year. Columbus leaders, meanwhile, are earmarking $3 million to buy 25 new snowplows. The city took heavy criticism after taking several days to plow many city streets.
