Ohio Father Runs Over, Kills Son Who Fell From Van

Authorities in Union County, Ohio say a 4-year-old child fell out of a van and died after he was run over by his father who was driving the vehicle. The State Highway Patrol says troopers were called to the Union County scene at about 11 o'clock Thursday morning. Troopers say the boy, Angel Gustbabo Hernandez, was struck by the vehicle and taken to the hospital, where he died from his injuries. Authorities say 30-year-old Natividad de Jesus Hernandez, of Columbus, initially fled the scene and later returned to the hospital. Sgt. Ty Skaggs of the patrol's Marysville Post says the incident remains under investigation, though charges are expected in the case. Troopers say the boy wasn't secured in a child seat. Alcohol and drugs are not believed to be a factor.
