1,312-Pound Pumpkin Takes Crown At Circleville Festival

There's a new king of pumpkins at the annual Circleville Pumpkin Show. This year's winner weighed in Wednesday at 1,312 pounds. Cecil and Teresa Weston of Circleville won the heaviest pumpkin contest, knocking off a couple that took home the prize the last six years. Teresa Weston says that the many hours the couple spent in their pumpkin patch turned out to be well worth it. Her husband says he never expected their pumpkin to come out on top. The Circleville Pumpkin Show runs through Saturday, October 19.
