ACLU, Jackson Schools Settle Lawsuit Over Jesus

The American Civil Liberties Union has settled a lawsuit against the Jackson City Schools over a depiction of Jesus displayed in the Middle School. The agreement includes a mandate that the depiction be permanently removed from school property. It also includes a financial settlement with the plaintiff for damages and legal fees. The decision was made after the school district moved the picture from the Middle school to the High School where school officials continued to bring it out for prayer meetings.
