A committee convened at Ohio State University for the first time Friday to begin the search for the schoolâs 15th president. Board of trustees member Jeffrey Wadsworth, the head of Battelle, is leading the search effort. Wadsworth says that there is absolutely no candidate in mind for the position. "We have discussed no candidates whatsoever," Wadsworth says. "This is an open search. I am absolutely committed to creating a process that will bring the best people forward." Wadsworth says the average length for a universityâs presidential search is about 300 days. He says the committee will be assisted by an executive search firm which has yet to be hired.
