Volunteers with the American Red Cross in Columbus are ready to respond to the tornado disaster in Oklahoma. Spokesman with the local office Royce Wood says he is waiting to hear how many crews are needed in the devastated city of Moore. âWe have a lot of volunteers who maintain training in certain skill areas and then when things like this happen we can kind of go through our database and pull based on both their availability and their skill set what the need is and then we can deploy them to the area," says Wood. Wood says one volunteer is leaving for Oklahoma Tuesday afternoon. Anyone wanting to help the American Cross can go on line to its website to give.
