New Dinosaur Exhibit Roars To Life At Columbus Zoo

The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium has unveiled a new exhibit about some very old creatures. The newly opened Dinosaur Island features 25 large animatronic dinosaurs that blink, swish their tails and make loud sounds. The largest is a 42-foot, 7,000-pound T-Rex. President Tom Stalf says the new additions don't seem to bother the zoo's animal inhabitants. A few of the dinosaurs will be viewable by any park visitor during the exhibit's three-month run. Guests will have to pay a few extra dollars for a special ticket or wristband to see the rest. The area includes a boat ride and an archaeological pit.
