Ohio employers added some 7,600 jobs last month as 7,000 people left the stateâs unemployment rolls. Thatâs according to the latest monthly jobs report released by state labor officials on Friday . It says Ohioâs unemployment rate fell from 7.1 percent in March to 7 percent last month. The reports says leisure and hospitality led all sectors by adding 5,300 jobs in April. Other major gains came in trade, transportation and utilities (3,500); manufacturing (2,400); and education and health services (800). Professional and business services lost the most positions (2,300), followed by construction (1,400) and financial activities (1,000).
