20 Year Old Indicted After Fatal Home Shooting

A 20 year old Columbus man who shot and killed a man following a break-in at his home has been indicted for voluntary manslaughter. Donald Eugene Griffin III was charged in connection with the death last October of 29 year old Quenton Savage. The Franklin County prosecutor’s office says after hearing a noise upstairs, Griffin armed himself and went upstairs. Officials say Savage was shot and killed after he departed the residence and was no longer a threat. He was found face down on the outside patio and was unarmed. Griffin faces a maximum 11 year prison sentence if convicted.
