One of Governor John Kasich’s top goals in 2013 is to finally convince state lawmakers to raise a tax on oil and gas drillers, then use the revenue to allow a cut in the state income tax. The Republican Governor has seen tough opposition from many in his own party, which has largely sided with drillers.
