Two new polls on Ohioâs Senate race have mixed results. The race is tight in one poll but both have Incumbent Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown still in the lead. The Ohio Poll by the University of Cincinnati says Democratic Incumbent U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown leads his challenger, Republican State Treasurer Josh Mandel, by only one percentage point. Thatâs within the pollâs margin of error. However, the Quinnipiac University poll shows Brown has a larger lead. In that poll, Brown leads Mandel 48 to 41 percent. It shows independent voters are split pretty evenly between the two candidates. The U.S. Senate race is being closely watched nationally and itâs already broken spending records for the amount of money spent on an Ohio U.S. Senate campaign.
