The Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted blasts critics of the uniform voting hours he has established for the 2012 Election. Husted appeared Wednesday morning on All Sides with Ann Fisher. Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted says uniform voting hours throughout the state should not be a problem for Ohio voters. Husted spoke on All Sides with Ann Fisher. The secretary of state explains the standard will be fair to all counties. âWe do a very good job of creating ease of access, balancing also the other challenges that I get on security. What are you doing to make sure the vote is secure? What are you doing to make sure fraud doesnât happen," questioned Husted. Husted admits the hours he has established for in person absentee voting do not please everyone. âYouâre never going to make people happy across the board no matter what decision you make, my predecessor couldnât and I certainly would not be able to," says Husted. The Board of Elections offices will be sending absentee voter ballot applications to every voter in Ohio. Board of elections offices will be open the first 3 weeks in October from 8 to 5pm and the last two weeks from 8 to 7pm.
