Governor Kasich, Wendy's Officials Reopen Dublin Headquarters

Ohio Governor John Kasich joined Wendy's executives today as they celebrated the re-opening of the company's expanded world headquarters in Dublin. Now that Wendy's is returning its main operations from Atlanta to Central Ohio, the company is spending $17 million in expansion and renovation projects. This is Wendy's president Emil Brolick. "We're thrilled to be here in Dublin, Ohio and I'm thrilled to be back at the Wendy's organization," Brolick said. The expansion will accommodate 220 positions in Dublin that were formerly located in Georgia. Governor John Kasich took the opportunity to tout his administration's efforts to lure the nation's third largest hamburger chain back to Ohio. "What we're attempting to do, Emil, is to make sure that people are comfortable and confident that when they come to Ohio that they're going to have a comfortable environment where they can create jobs and invest and take risks and that is exactly what we are all about," Kasich said. The company is in the process of constructing a 75,000 square-foot office building and conference center which will be named for Wendy's founder Dave Thomas.
