Inman Trial Heads To Jurors

Jurors are set to begin deliberations in the trial of a Hocking county man accused of killing his estranged wife and hiding her body in a septic tank. Attorneys finished their cases this morning in the trial that’s captivated much of southern Ohio. It wasn’t long after 25-year-old Summer Inman went missing last March before investigators honed in on her estranged husband, William Inman II, and his parents, William and Sandra Inman. Prosecutors have spent the last three weeks trying to prove that the younger Inman played a major role in the kidnapping and murder of his wife. Investigators say she was abducted in downtown Logan and found strangled and bound with zip ties inside an Athens septic tank days later. Police say it was her mother-in-law Sandra who pointed them toward the body. Sandra and her husband are scheduled to be tried separately later this year.
