Poll: Ohioans Support Kasich's Tax Shift Plan

A new Quinnipiac University poll shows wide support for Governor John Kasich’s plan to increase taxes on oil and natural gas drillers to allow income tax relief for Ohioans. The survey shows 60 percent of Ohio voters support the plan, with 32 percent opposed. Backing is strong among various demographics, but is strongest among lower-income Ohioans. The plan has been shelved in the legislature, but the Governor has said he’s confident it will eventually become law.
