Ohio Troopers Stop Van, Seize Marijuana Worth $2 Million

WILMINGTON, Ohio (AP) - The State Highway Patrol says troopers pulled over a minivan in southwestern Ohio this week and discovered it was hauling more than 500 pounds of marijuana valued at more than $2.1 million. A 25-year-old Mexican man who was driving the van has been held on felony drug charges. Troopers stopped the van for a registration violation Wednesday on Interstate 71 in Clinton County, about halfway between Cincinnati and Columbus. They seized 538 pounds of marijuana, wrapped into 24 bundles. The driver is charged with having and trafficking in marijuana.
