Ohioâs unemployment rate is continuing itâs slow-but-steady decline. The latest jobs report from the Department of Job and Family Services lists a February jobless rate of 7.6 percent. Thatâs down from 7.7 percent in January. ODJFS spokesman Ben Johnson says the state added about 28,000 jobs in February, and about 4,000 people left state unemployment rolls. The trade, transportation and utility sector gained about 7,000 jobs, while construction ganied about 4,000 positions, health care increased by about 5,000 positions, and governments gained about 5,000 jobs, led by hiring in community colleges.
