Hundreds of jobs are coming to central Ohio as part of an expansion by an internet-based kidsâ clothing company. Seattle-based online retailer Zulily plans to add 600 jobs to a fulfillment center in Obetz over the next five years. Gov. John Kasich says Zulily picked Ohio because the state has been showcasing its logistics, technology and transportation. "Itâs all these different things. Before it was just a sort of blind âletâs throw something against the wall and see if it sticks.â? Today we have a strategy, and the strategy is âyou go where your strength is, and you leverage your strength to produce success,'" Kasich says. Kasich says the state is trying to convince Zulily to try to bring some of its business partners to Ohio.
