Natural Gas Line Fire Under Control; Rupture Felt Miles Away

Authorities say a fire from a natural gas line rupture and explosion is under control in a rural area of Southern Ohio. The Morgan County Sheriff's Office said one woman was taken to a hospital. Her condition is not known. Authorities also say two homes were damaged near Glouster. People up to 12 miles away felt the explosion and heard the roar of the fire. Houston-based Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company said it was a rupture in its interstate natural gas transmission line. A company spokesperson said a crew has isolated the segment involved and shut off the gas. The cause of the rupture has yet to be determined.
