Honda Halving Production At Marysville, East Liberty Plants

One of central Ohio’s largest employers is once again cutting production because of a natural disaster. Auto manufacturer Honda says flooding in Thailand has damaged several parts factories, forcing the company to cut production by 50 percent at all six of its North American auto plants, including factories in Marysville and East Liberty. The cuts are expected to last for about 10 days. The company is also canceling overtime that was scheduled to catch up from another round of production cuts after the tsunami in Japan.
