Poll: Support For Issue 2 Growing

A new poll shows support for the repeal of Senate Bill 5 may be shrinking. That’s one key finding in the survey from Quinnipiac University released Tuesday. It says 51 percent of Ohioans now support repealing the collective bargaining law that bars public employees from striking, requires they pay at least 15 percent of health care premiums, and limits the negotiating rights of their unions. That 51 percent support is down five percent from a similar Quinnipiac poll in July. The newest poll says about 38 percent of voters now favor keeping the law in place. Senate Bill 5 is up for possible repeal on the November ballot as Issue 2. A "yes" vote means a vote to keep the law in place, while a "no" vote supports repealing Senate Bill 5.
