Both the Columbus City Council and Franklin County Board of Commissioners have approved the annexation deal between the city and developers of the West side casino. The agreement approved by council last night and commissioners this morning sends Penn National Gaming $15 million to help ready the West Broad Street site for a planned opening late next year. It also approves annexation of the site into Columbus, which would send the city millions in tax revenue every year. A federal judge has asked that a final agreement be sent to him by Friday.
