The body of a missing Central Ohio man has been found in Alabama. David Cupps was on a business trip to Mississippi when he disappeared. David Michael Cupps was a 53-year-old nuclear safety inspector from Sunbury in southern Delaware County. An investigator with the Vicksburg, Miss., police department says Cupps told his wife on Tuesday that he was headed to a hotel, but he never checked in. She reported him missing Wednesday. Then Thursday afternoon, an agent with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation announced that Cupps' body had been found near a motel outside Birmingham, Ala. The FBI has joined the search for two Louisiana convicts who escaped from a Baton Rouge prison compound last Friday. Officials say they believe the pair carjacked David Cupps and dumped his body near Birmingham. They say the fugitives were pulled over in Jackson, Tenn., Tuesday evening in a car that had been rented by Cupps. But 33-year-old Darian Pierce of Bogalusa, La., and 36-year-old Ricky Wedgeworth of Memphis got away on foot.
