WOSU's Classical Music Service soon will move to a new frequency and expand to 24 hours a day.
WOSU Public Media today announced it has agreed to buy the FM signal 101.1 - now operated by CD 101.
Pending approval by the FCC, WOSU plans to convert 101.1 FM to new format - Classical Music 24 hours a day.
WOSU 89.7 FM will become a 24-hour NPR news and Talk station.
CD 101's alternative music format will move to another frequency -- 102.5 FM. Programming changes are expected to take place in the fall.
