Two more top aides to former Attorney General Marc Dann have been criminally charged in the wake of investigations that followed Dann's resignation in 2008.
Dann's Chief of Staff Edgar Simpson and communications chief Leo Jennings face arraignment Thursday in Franklin County on charges alleging they improperly handled supplemental income.
Simpson is accused of failing to report to the state money he received from the Ohio Democratic Party, Dann's campaign committee or Dann's transition committee. Jennings is accused of accepting income from the two Dann committees and with providing another Dann aide income in the form of lodging at a Columbus condominium.
Dann admitted having an affair with a subordinate and later resigned following a sexual harassment scandal in his office.
