Columbus Dec;lares Emergency. Schools Close Again

Ohio power companies say some of their 2,000,000 customers left without power in Sunday's wind storm may not have service restored until the weekend. Utilities have summoned hundreds of reinforcement crews. Columbus Mayor Michael has declared a state of emergency.

Lack of power has forced numerous school closures including Columbus City Schools. Also closed today: Columbus Catholic Schools Bexley City Schools Dublin City Schools Gahanna-Jefferson Westerville City Schools Reynoldsburg City Schools Big Walnut Olentangy Local Granville exempted Village Walnut Township schools Calumet Christian Xenos Christian Harrambee Christian Ohio Historical Center Ohio State School For the Blind Methodist Theological School in Delaware Ohio Dominican University Ohio University Lancaster campus

Four branches of the Columbus Metropolitan Library are also closed today: Hilliard Shepherd Linden and, Southeast branch
