Secretary of State Stands By Early Voting Order

Republicans are still waiting for the Secretary of State to take back an order that the GOP says will open the door to voter fraud.

The order allows first-time voters to register and cast ballots in the five days before the voter registration deadline October 6.

But Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner says she's still waiting for the letter demanding she revoke her directive.

And Brunner says if the Ohio GOP sues her, she's prepared to defend herself.

Republicans say a voter must have been registered for 30 days before casting any ballot, absentee or otherwise.

But Brunner says by the time the ballots are counted on election day, those Ohioans will have been legally registered to vote.
