Cardiologist Wants AED's in All U.S. Schools

Ohio Congresswoman Betty Sutton wants to expand nationwide a state program that installed more than 4,500 defibrillators in Ohio schools.

Akron General Medical Center Cardiologist Dr. Terry Gordon spearheaded the Ohio program. He says defibrillators are the single most effective tool for starting the heart after cardiac arrest.

Gordon says defibrillators provided through the program have saved the lives of several adults and children around the state.
