The wife of Columbus Mayor Michael Coleman has been sentenced to five years' probation and fined $1,000.
That's after Frankie Coleman pleaded no contest this morning to charges she falsified time sheets and received salary and benefits for hours she never worked while holding a state job earlier this year.
She also was sentenced to 100 hours of community service by a Franklin County judge who found her guilty on misdemeanor charges of attempted theft in office and falsification.
In court, Coleman apologized and acknowledged she has a drinking problem. Under terms of her probation, she must complete the alcohol treatment program she's currently in.
