Franklin County residents begin paying an additional county sales tax on October First. The county will collect half-a-penny more on purchases. President Mary Jo Kilroy says she especially wants to hear money saving ideas from the "scrooges, inventors, and entrepreneurs" among the county workforce. In an interview with W-O-S-U News, Kilroy says budget woes prompted her request.
