The trial of the man accused of a string of shootings on and around Columbus-area highways -- resulting in one death -- resumes today with testimony from the victims of the remaining six shootings.This morning an Obetz woman told of how she found a bullet hole in her home while dusting in December of 2003.
The parents of 29-year-old Charles McCoy will be called today or tomorrow to describe how they found and turned in his guns.
McCoy has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity to all charges. He could face the death penalty if convicted of aggravated murder in the death of Gail Knisley of Washington Court House in November of 2003.
On Friday, the lifelong friend of Knisley who was driving the car gave emotional testimony about what happened that day.
Mary Cox of Grove City testified that she entered Interstate 270 going west in Columbus by mistake. Shortly after she exited and returned eastbound, her friend was shot and killed.
