Three men escape from Fairfield County county jail

Authorities say three prisoners escaped from a second floor cell at the Fairfield County jail early Monday morning.

The Fairfield County Sheriff's office says deputies captured 21-year-old Steven L. Reid, of Lancaster, at approximately two-15 a-m. Authorities were looking for 42-year-old William F. Brown, of Zanesville, and 24-year-old Daniel Cordle, of Logan.

Brown was in jail charged with theft of a firearm while Cordle was being held under a theft charge.

Authorities say the three men escaped by removing a window frame and bars, then dropping down to the ground.

Authorities said the escape occurred at 12:45am
