Ohio State University and other schools across the country are aggressively working to prevent illegal downloads of music and movies on the internet.
OSU will hang posters in dorms showing illegal down-loaders in prison. Valerie Schafer of the Student Affairs information technology department says education is the school's main strategy.
Other schools, like Ohio University are signing agreements with legal music downloading services so students can download music at a discount or even for free.
Ohio State has received letters in the past from the recording industry complaining that some of its dormitory residents were using the university's network to illegally share music.
