A lawyer for the woman whose lawsuit against two boosters led to the firing of Ohio State basketball coach Jim O'Brien says his client is getting threats and has had her tires slashed.
Kathleen Salyers is suing the boosters for more than half a million dollars. She says she agreed to provide housing, meals and spending money for a former Ohio State player but was never reimbursed.
NCAA rules prohibit student athletes from taking financial help from anyone other than family members.
Attorney Jeffrey Lucas says Salyers filed the suit to get her money, not to expose alleged NCAA violations at Ohio State. He says Salyers was disappointed O'Brien was fired and plans to meet with the university's lawyers and NCAA officials next week.
Salyers didn't appear at the news conference.
