Monday afternoon, officials, dignitaries and neighbors gathered in Franklinton to dedicate the Franklinton Floodwall. The $134-million, 7-mile long wall aims to protect neighborhoods along the west bank of the Scioto River.
The last major flood to hit the area was in 1959. WOSU's Mike Thompson spoke with some people who lived through the '59 flood who now hope the high water will never return.
