Clarett Faces Multiple Game Suspension

Officials at Ohio State say Maurice Clarett could face a multi-game suspension but will be allowed to resume practicing with the football team. Athletic director Andy Geiger says Clarett remains ineligible for games. The sophomore running back has been held out of all team functions while the school looked into reports that he received preferential treatment in his course work. The NCAA is also looking into Clarett's finances after he filed a police report claiming more than $10,000 dollars worth of equipment was stolen from a car he had on loan from a Columbus area dealership. He later admitted to exaggerating the value of the merchandise. Clarett set freshman records with 12-hundred-37 yards rushing and 18 touchdowns as the Buckeyes went 14-0 and won the national championship.
