Kate’s Quick Bites: No Bake Peanut Butter Bars

We make No-Make Peanut Butter Bars with Columbus Symphony Orchestra's Meghan McDevitt. While we make this sweet treat, we'll learn about the Columbus Symphony's educational commitment to the central Ohio community.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

Line an 8x8 baking dish with foil and leave some overhang on the sides to make removing the bars from the pan easier.

In a small saucepan, melt butter. In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter, powdered sugar, graham cracker crumbs and peanut butter. Mix well.

Spread peanut butter mixture into bottom of pan with off-set spatula.

In a double boiler, melt chocolate chips. Spread over peanut butter. Refrigerate for 1 hour or until firm. Slice into bars until firm.
